My name is Laura L. Camerlengo. I am a US-based costume and textiles curator and historian, currently with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. I curate exhibitions, lecture and publish widely, and also contribute to a variety of fashion and lifestyle publications as a freelance writer.

Let’s connect.

I am based in San Francisco, but also consider New York and Philadelphia home.

Since graduating with a Master of Arts degree in history of decorative arts and design, I have worked with prominent costume and textiles collections throughout the United States. As a curator and historian, my research practice explores the social realities and personal histories of objects within their zeitgeist, and connects them to the lived experiences of contemporary audiences. As a freelance writer, my writings explore deeply personal topics, such as motherhood.
